Programme Overview

This master’s conversion degree is ideal for people with academic or work experience in a field other than psychology who would like to move into the field by gaining a master’s level qualification. Graduates of this course may want to pursue careers in professional psychology, or apply their knowledge in other sectors such as human resources, counselling, education, or business.

Syllabus Content

You can study two modules at once, but we’d always recommend studying each module separately until you become comfortable with the demands of a master’s degree. Each 20 credit module typically requires an average of 200 learning hours over the 10-week course; equivalent to a minimum of 20 hours a week. As this is an online psychology master’s, you have the freedom to fit your study hours around your lifestyle, with 24/7 support from us.

Accreditation

British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation means that as long as you achieve a second-class honours degree, you’ll be eligible for Graduate Chartered Membership, which is your first step to becoming a professional psychologist after graduation.

Entry Requirements

A UK honours degree or equivalent in any subject at 2:2 or above. If your degree is in psychology it must not be accredited by the BPS.
A Third Class UK honours degree or equivalent in psychology if you also possesses a master’s level degree;
Students that do not hold a degree with honours will need to evidence independent research such as a dissertation or thesis.
English language proficiency at IELTS 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element); or TOEFL iBT 90; or equivalent
